Job Description – Sr. Business Analyst (Techno-Functional)
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to bridge business needs and technical solutions. The role involves gathering and analyzing requirements, documenting functional specifications, and supporting Agile delivery across enterprise applications. You will work closely with stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to optimize business processes and ensure solution quality. The candidate should have strong expertise in Agile methodologies, documentation, and stakeholder management. Experience with enterprise systems and process modeling is essential.

Role Overview

  1. Conduct detailed business analysis to identify problems, opportunities, and recommended solutions.
  2. Deliver high-quality BA artifacts consistently, with strong attention to detail and adherence to Agile development practices.
  3. Analyze and optimize existing business processes to improve efficiency and meet stakeholder expectations.
  4. Design and document functional and solution specifications aligned with business and technical needs.
  5. Define and enhance testing scenarios to improve overall process and system effectiveness.
  6. Manage change control and versioning of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  7. Ensure compliance with quality, security, and governance standards.

Job Requirements

  • 5–7 years of overall professional experience, including 4+ years as a Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst in IT or enterprise software development projects.
  • Strong experience with enterprise applications, including custom software, ERP, CRM, HRMS, LMS, or large-scale platforms.
  • Proven expertise in requirements elicitation techniques such as workshops, interviews, brainstorming, and observation.
  • Strong documentation skills, including BRD, FRD, SRS, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Hands-on experience with gap analysis, impact analysis, and solution assessment.
  • Solid understanding of business process modeling using As-Is / To-Be frameworks.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical requirements, including complex workflows.
  • Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall SDLC environments, with hands-on use of Jira and Atlassian tools.
  • Strong Agile delivery skills, including:
    1. Writing and managing epics, user stories, and backlogs
    2. Supporting sprint planning, grooming, reviews, and retrospectives
    3. Participating in UAT planning, execution, and sign-off
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, collaborating effectively with business users, product owners, developers, QA, DevOps, and leadership teams.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to clarify ambiguous or complex requirements.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and facilitation skills, including workshops, demos, and walkthroughs.
  • Ability to manage conflicts, expectations, and cross-team dependencies effectively.

Skill Sets

  1. Familiarity with data analytics, BI tools, or dashboards
  2. Knowledge of process automation, RPA, or low-code/no-code tools
  3. BA certifications (CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, Agile BA)
  4. Process mapping using flowcharts, UML, BPMN
